Im barely at when I dress up as a soldier in Shinra's army. So im guessing he got his memories from Zach??

Pretty much.  And his abilities as well as believing himself to be capable of things he wouldn't have been otherwise.

CC took place between when he first had any fame at all and when he died, as well as when he was still learning to fight well.  At least he gets a cameo in Advent Children :P

I watched advent children before I played any of the games, so i didnt know shit, and probably missed him :(

well. i like the game, and i like that cloud isn't the typical hero you find everywhere.
i lost my savedata for FFVII psp and i was at disc 2 quite a while after clouds mental
hissy fit. now im barely halfway through disc 1 :(. the world can be cruel

Watch it again. Near the end, Cloud sees a vision of Aeris, and behind her is Zach waving.  I knew it was him before I ever played CC just because it was fitting for him to be near Aeris, as well as apart of Cloud's vision.  Now I enjoy the cameo even more because I know how much of a badass he is.

The way he died totally sucked.
He was this big soldier fanatic and then Shinra guns him down. :/

I almost cried at the ending, and becuase it ended :'(
