Anime - Subs or Dubs?
Since quite a lot of u watch anime,
Let me ask, for watching anime, do u generally prefer Japanese audio + English subs, English audio + English subs, just English audio, or some other combination of audio and subtitle language if u understand other languages?

RE: Anime - Subs or Dubs?
Well.... is really depends to be honest.........
if you want to watch new anime.... is Jap audio and English (or Chinese sub for me sometimes)
however, I would prefer English Dub or Chinese Dub since sometimes, i dun need to watch the subtitles..... the problem is some sub are just totally sucks.... like English Dub of CardCaptor Sakura.... the Jap version is bloody great, but for eng dub is just sucks....
so, I normally watch Cantonese dub if available.... otherwise, jap audio and sub...

RE: Anime - Subs or Dubs?
Usually dub, since I'm a very slow reader.
The only series which the dub seems poo poo is Love Hina (where I'd prefer the sub).

RE: Anime - Subs or Dubs?
Since I'm a fast reader and have a magical ability on concentrating on multiple things I tend to be only watch subs EVER. English dubs are horrible beyond all reason anyway.

I don't mind dubs unless they're so horrible they want to rape my ears, but I watch subs anyway and like Goshi; I can concentrate on multiple things at once.

RE: Anime - Subs or Dubs?
as with anything. unless you don't speak the language and you can't read yet (like years ago when wee went to kids movies with my younger brothers) always watch the original, subs are optional if you don't speak the language. but no way for dubs, ppl just watch them cause theyre on tv cause lotsa young people watch cartoon network that can't read. you don't see them dubbing The Simpsons do you?

You'd be surprised.
Though I do agree with your point.

RE: Anime - Subs or Dubs?
I believe The Simpsons has actually been dubbed.
I've compared dubs and subs with different anime before - yes, there's a difference, but usually not enough to change the whole story/meaning; at times, it even makes things more clear
