So, I have Vista Ultimate on my Laptop but my laptop really wasn't made to run Vista and it doesn't run it as smooth as I would like. So I decided I  want to downgrade. I'm undecided between what version of XP to get, I'd like one with most updates included already (as it would be convenient) and that it would include good stuff. Any suggestions? Please provide information and not just names.

xp pro with sp2. that seems to work quite well. I'm sure if you looked hard enough you'd be able to find a copy on the internet*cough*

if your lappy is 64-bit (i assume it must be), you can get a normal XP x-64 SP3. That will contain all the patches and all till date (except the latest ones. Depending on how u get ur copy, u may get them too...)

or else get either TinyXP or XP Black Edition. They contain xtra stuff, like pre loaded applications, some tweaks etc.

Get XP SP2 64-bit and nLite it to your needs like I did. Except mine is 32-bit.

yeah...

as for black xp and tiny XP, both are diff.

Black XP is a collection of a lot of tools and all... TinyXP is a nlite edition with a few add ons..

Yes correct. And what is nice is you CHOOSE what you want removed not like in blackXP and TinyXP.
