Read the thread carefully my friend. You hex edit vshmain.prx to change text colors.

Now I just wish I could edit pspbtncnf.txt without bricking >.<

Yeesh, sorry. I was trying to figure out how to rephrase my response to be less "experienced person to newbie" when I noticed you were a mod and not just joe average. Unfortunately, I took too long >.<

That's what I meant. vshmain.prx is completely seperate from topmenu_plugin.rco. Or at least that's what I've come to understand. If I've overlooked something obvious, please, enlighten me.

You mean perma-brick, right? You can most certainly temp-brick if you screw with the wrong stuff in vshmain. But then there's recovery. :D

So would the text colors be in the same place in a 3.30 vshmain?  Or do those have yet to be found? =/
