well this the hugest Graphics request ever. Although i will supply the default package for stepmania 3.95 CVS. I'm looking for people who will design and create graphics for this project.

the default folder has over 1000 files.

this includes numbers, fonts, and sounds.

keep note: some of them can text files which redriect things to other files

you'll need to download this theme package to understand what kind of screens are in Stepmania and what GFXs it uses

most of the SM gfxs are PNGs

---Understanding Theme GFXs---

Company Screen:

Normally where the SM logo goes, but you could place your own Graphics logo here or the SKS logo and a sound that goes with it.

Game Logo Screen:

another place for a logo. (may have sounds)

How to play Screen:
2 folders... underlay (or background) and overlay

this screen is the one normally see on DDR... "step on the matching panel in time with the beat" (has music and a SM file that goes with it)

Records Screen:

Shows the top scores... this picture shows the DDR version, all SKS themes will use the ITG version

Main Menu:

contains the logo from ScreenLogo... all edited by mertics and some XML sheets

Caution Screen:

add the themes logo or some other danger screen here.

Select Style Screen:

One player or Two... One player using 4-8 panels or 2 players supporting each other... this screen is important in all themes (it may not be like this)

Select Difficulty Screen:


this screen may not be in some themes... but look nice when you have things that match the item selection

Select Music Screen:

this screen is fun... here is where you choose the music for the gameplay part...


After selecting the song you can then edit your settings... this screen maybe edited as well
as well as the text for entering it.

Gameplay:

maybe edited to fit theme


this screen must be edited to call the theme custom. you can do alot with the Graphics folder in the theme. judgment labels can be changed and so can combo labels... don't just edit the basics, do more than that.


CLEAR! woo (can aslo be edited)


at the end of the stage you will be taken to see what you got on the stage.

well when you start with a blank folder you have all the default stuff on the theme.

anything with the same name doesn't get read when checking the defaulto files

I'm remaking an old theme of mine which i had no graphics help it looked too much the default theme.

it was a dark theme.
i have the music folder still. so wee don't really have to worry about sounds.

i might be able to 'borrow' numbers|fonts from another theme.

thanks. wee could start on the name of the theme and the main basics, creating the Metric.ini file and creating the basic theme of the theme.

it should be dark... aslo I'll be making mock images for the theme. but not yet... i need more help.

1-Create The Company screen, namely create a logo for yourself.
2-Theme logo. (the logo for the theme)
3-Life bar. for the demo screen.
4-Text of the explanation of everything. (such as steps,mines,etc I'll import the graphics from the discarded theme to show you what i mean)
5-The Highscore Screen. (will upload some images)
