To put in a nice way, Sensky was a fansubbing project by Sensei and SkyDX. And due to some unforeseen difficulties that popped up after starting the project, the venture did not succeed.

To put it in an ugly way, Sensky was a way-too-overoptimistic attempt at fansubbing that I expected to fail since the start. It screwed up my reputation as an encoder before I even made a single encode, which is really not cool.

Well, this is much much easier than SenSky to pull off. And I'm a lot more knowledgable about this stuff than back then (I knew jack all back then).

I can actually solo the whole thing if I really wanted to. It's takes a LOT of effort if it's only one single person, which I'm not willing to commit to. (This is exactly what the CommieRips guy is doing actually, soloing).

Which is exactly why I refuse to do any more than 1 job (which will be encoding).

Actually, it doesn't take THAT much effort, since when ripping off crunchy, the translation is all done for him, and timing is also roughly done, but still a decent amount of effort, he's effectively doing 3 jobs for 1 person.

and yeah, no shitty stuffs either!

If anyone's thinking about doing it for the donation/money, give up now, it has to be the most inefficient way to earn money, ever.  Hell, trying to find money on the ground will get you more money for time than fansubbing.  Most fansub groups actually run a loss, donations generally don't cover server costs.

Well, I can't say timing is fun (it bores the fuck out of me in 10 minutes), but it would depend on personal preference (Sensei actually enjoys timing I think he told me). Typesetting's better than timing.

Don't know, you have to try to find out.
