RE: I'm building a gaming rig
Then your a bit blind dupain.

There are old revision 8800GTS cards that come with 640Mb of RAM. There are also 8800GTX cards that have 740Mb. There are nothing special it's just how much ram nVidia decided to put onboard

RE: I'm building a gaming rig
But far to stupidly priced.

And there is no way I'd go for a nVidia card at the minute until they sort out the HDR/Anti-aliasing issues.

But that card will stand the test of time, ten years, minimum.

RE: I'm building a gaming rig
i always thought that ram came in form of 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024mb.  hmmm....oh well.  my computer has an old Geforce FX 5200 128mb and the best graphics card in a pic I've ever used for gaming was a Geforce FX 5500 128mb.   so i don't really know much about graphics card. =P

life's expensive here.  i can't afford to buy a new computer :(

Where are you? I have 6 GBS of ram by the way. :P

My old server PC has a FX 5200. It still runs HL2 great.
