No you're not the only one.  I like serious anime.  Actually I'm quite balanced, I watch everything.

"no-no" ≠ "no no no" :P

Yeah that.

I think you've been watching too much anime...

RE: Spring anime line up
I find it difficult to judge most anime seriously.  I just don't feel engaged in most serious plots, either because they're full of flaws or because they're cliché, after pushing away shows which are hyped for "coolness" (eg zomg awesum gunz, blood & gutz).
Stuff that isn't meant to be serious in the first place doesn't drag my attention into judging it seriously.  I also watch anime to take my mind of the more serious matters in life...

RE: Spring anime line up
I don't care for silly anime, but I don't mind it when serious anime has silly parts. I really liked how Cowboy Bebop did it. I love edward, very funny I think. When I watch anime, or well anything I try not to think about flaws as long as the flaws are small. It's a movie or show, it's meant to entertain and as long as the over all product is good I will like it. I'm not one to pick things like this apart.

WOW, I just googled Cowboy Bebop and saw that it's been close to 10 years since I 1st watched Cowboy Bebop. :(

It's sort of like a natural instinct for me.  Can't really stop myself from thinking it.

Yup you're mistaking me for Proper... look what happens when I don't use quote -_-

Dropped Cowboy Bebop
Finished Elfen Lied [10]
NANA [10]
Ergo Proxy [8]
Serial Lain Experiments [Stalled on ep 8]
Princess Mononoke [9]

Otherwise I plan to watch others in that list... I'm a fan of serious anime.. it just frustrates me sometimes that the people I talk to most *don't* watch any so I can't discuss them with them =.=

Heh, I don't know what kind of people you talk to, but I think everyone (who watches anime at alll) here besides for you (and PB) have seen stuff like Death Note.  The viewership of something like that among anime watchers would be like 95%+.
