Marijuana was outlawed for political reasons. The fact that cigarettes, known to cause cancer and other negative effects, are legal on the street and Marijuana, with no links to cancer, is illegal, is completely reverse.

This should be restoring your faith.

Really?! Allowing people to indulge in something that does not cause any deaths or physical dependency irks you so much that you write off all hope for a country?!

C'mon, marijuana's not that bad...
You can google many articles showing positive reasons for marijuana use!

RE: Marijuana Legalized for RECREATIONAL use in Colorado
Marijuana was criminalized thanks to DUPONT and other oil/textile companies. Hemp was first used for ethanol fuel. Oil companies didn't like this because weed is so easy to cultivate, thus cheaper to produce. Anyone would have been able to just grow their own fuel rather than line the pockets of the Rockefeller monopoly. So, these lobbyists whined enough and got it criminalized. You lose faith because someone stands up against the war mongering oil companies and for the right to use a plant for whatever (FFS). Guessing you're all for bombing the hell out of poor countries for their oil resources.

That's sounds pretty confusing stupid.
Well, smoking anything is bad anyway, the lungs are not designed to take in lungfuls of air with such a lack of oxygen, combined with the temperature of the smoke. However, there are specific chemicals in tobacco, which directly speed up and lead to lung cancer. In other words, these chemicals bring about a change in the make-up of the lungs, and set in motion the process of mutation of cells, ie, cancer. Therefore, these chemicals have a direct link with cancer, and I believe that is the point Kuu was making.
And given the nature of this forum, I shall present this point in Metal Gear Solid format:

Known to kill you: Legal.
Known not to kill you: Illegal.
How is it stupid or confusing?
And for the record, I've tried both cigarettes and marijuana, but I am not a regular on either by far.

RE: Marijuana Legalized for RECREATIONAL use in Colorado
i don't have a problem with smoking it if it's legal. Which is why I've never smoked it lol
I know it's not as deadly as tobacco, which is why i haven't smoked that either, but if it were to become legal in the UK i don't see why i wouldn't try it for lols.

There would be many lols.
Also, the canabenoid CBD (this is what makes you sleepy when you smoke pot) is known to help prevent cancer and the growth of cancerous cells. It also supports neurogenesis.
