worked perfectly before but the site was down for me today for like 4 hours, once in a while i could see a textish version.

I just had the site die on me too.
I think Nigathan said he also couldn't see it.

How much bandwidth and space does the EP take up anyway?

Also, I always used to get 503s. Hope it was fixed with the move :) (Lighttpd > Apache)

The server sends 503s when you exceed the max number of connections to the server. (the limit was around 10)
I upped the limit on this server.

I tried lighttpd once, however it had too many issues (memory leaks, random crashes, random CGI failures etc)

I think he was referring to the host downtime...

I don't think it was in the Hosts hands though.
