this all originated, to my limited knowledge in a thread on psp hack, on which someeone else has posted a lexar speed of 9.41 formated with fat16. a few more reports like this and i will be convinced!

Don't get a Lexar stick, they have problems on PSP's (plugins don't work and some other things I think).  Sandisk sticks are the best way to go.  If you really want speed the Ultra II's are probably the best, but the normal Sandisk ones are great too.
