When your PC doesn't cause unusual network traffic it's impossible for you to affect his computer in a logical sense.

Then bring in some numbers to really prove that it isn't slowing down if you're sure.
Get a website he thinks loads slow, and see if pinging it works (ie it doesn't drop ICMP packets). If it does, run the following command on his machine:

ping awesomewebsite.com /t

Now, whilst that is running, turn on/off your computer. Is there a significant difference in response times, depending on the state of your computer?

Do a similar test whilst downloading a file on his machine, watching the download rate. Perhaps even try the same with uploading.

This will test all three speed aspects of a connection, download, upload and latency.

So I told my dad about how there's no network traffic going through my computer unless I allow it but he still thinks he's right >_>

Bump, my dad is starting to dwell over this subject again and he still doesn't believe me. And he think he's correct by loading a page while my computer's turned then loading that same page again when it's turned off argh...

EDIT: So he realized it was the website he was loading that was being slow and I had nothing to do with it.

Can't be your PC's fault your dad his PC is running slow..
He either has a bad wireless connection or he has to format his pc :)
