Economics is nice 1st year, but once you get into 2nd/3rd year, it gets sort of gay, with all the complicated models and calculus.  Later year stats is much worse though.

I have to do a tutorial presentation today, and I completely forgot about it... sucks.

oh i like calculus Hi

But seriously sky, just think of it this way, things only end or get bad for you when you're _DEAD_ no matter what happens there will always be something you can do to get better in the future.

Usually, if you feel you have studied enough or studied to a certain degree, then just feel like you'll obtain that mark. People tend to get stressed because exams are "their big chance to do better or get 100% and save the day", hence the stress. Believe me, if you worked hard to understand it all, then there's absolutely NO REASON for you to start freaking out. Hi

Spoiler for oh he's SO bragging about himself:
Personal story, i was getting 77% in my chemistry course because my teacher was a hard marker, but i since i felt that i could do better, i started working my donkey off to get that mark higher. Unfortunately, it didn't budge and i went into the exam feeling like all my hard work went to waste. Amazingly, i got 95%; seriously blowing my expectations out of the water Drink

MY SIG IS FUCKING DEAD

The calculus formulas started kicking in a week before the final exam. :\

I used to like economics but if it actually gets harder 2nd semester...I think I'll just stick to easier classes like graphics design. :P

oh i like calculus Hi

It's more the models than the calculus.  The models are like really complicated and annoying.  Sure at the start with all the supply and demand stuff is really nice and easy (supply does down, prices go up. Yay!).  Then you get to later year macro and you have complicated models where you change one thing and that screws everything over.

Try reading through this stuff for example  - http://www.sfu.ca/~bkrauth/econ808/808_lec4.pdf .  The maths probably doesn't look all that hard, but it's understanding the model and how everything works together that's annoying.  (And the maths IS hard, if you really want to go in-depth, which you really don't).  Sorry to scare you Sky, you probably won't need to do that stuff... until like your final or 2nd last year (you probably won't need to do that stuff in the 2nd link at all... err... probably... I won't really know, since my degree only requires econ up to 2nd year).

Not doing Law anymore, however, the stats courses I have now are even worse...

Ok, put it this way... Back then I completely have not kept up with Law class (because I found Law to be boring as fuck), and know like next to nothing.  What would you do?  I think you'll do the same.

That was especially bad because I also had a stats exam 2 days later...

Facepalm Whyowhy
