Well it makes sense, high school drop outs have a higher chance of getting a job then one who graduates. :P

Low wages = profit for corps.

Listen to mummy and daddy once in a while, well that's being hypocritical of me since i never listen to mine since they don't speak english fluently.

Mom: No, the cost is irrelavant, it's because with better internet, you'll just spend more time on it, which is going to effect your studies. The current internet is good enough for all your study purposes. There's also a lot of bad people on the interent, I don't want you picking up bad influences...

Heh, their model of "dream son" in their minds is a guy who studies 12hrs a day, finds additional homework for entertainment, and gets scholarships to all the most prestegious unis out there. Play games = waste of time, watch TV = waste of time, anything not study = waste of time.

better internet will let you do things faster meaning... less time on the internet.

also holy Spoon 2 hours?

If i download a anime ep =25mins. it'll take 15-25mins to download. during that time i can go ahead and watch an ep and by the time I'm done I can start downloading another ep and start watching the one i just downloaded...

though I'll say that my internet still sucks as the router that wee have to use because telus sucks... I can't access it upstairs with my ipod... actually I've never been on the internet with my psp ever since wee got telus to provide for us...

also they have craploads of connection problems... everything keeps crapping out whenever I'm in the middle of downloading something...

Yeah, if i get kicked out i'd need to find a full time job which would definitely interfere with school. School's really important to me, but I also need money. Well don't 100% need it but it would improve a lot of things. By the way im 16, i can't even legally move out, they are allowed to go to my workplace and ask for them to let me go ;/

I'm in High school too and make some money on the side with the stock market. Though sometimes it's a bit of a gamble, I made a nice bit of money this way :) And I don't need to leave my house! I use an online stock broker

I thought of that but i needed money to invest in the first place -_- I am 100% broke, not even any lunch money
