To compare...same cpu, same amount of memory, but better brand on buyxg, same size harddrive, and you get a much better video card and te ability to run 3 way sli or crossfire with the BuyXG and you save $388!  If you choose the same video card, your price difference becomes

The thread gives the assumption that all the costs will be automatically covered (cost nothing however expensive), so you want to spend as much as possible, rather than as less as possible.

i guess custom build,. but i think both is the same,. maybe less choice with alienware,. but you basicly can customize these alienware pc too,.

I still wouldn't give Alienware/Dell the satisfaction of profiting so great for a not so great computer.

Assuming you can't profit off this, I'd probably check what Alienware has, as you can get free tech support as well (or hours of fun abusing support staff if you've got nothing better to do XD).
