RE: Is anime for asains?
Ive noticed that there is more racism in the US then other countries. But then again no other country has so many different races in one country.

Unless you hold a lot of social power/influence in your school (or are very clever and extremely determined), I doubt you'll be able to.
From the sounds of it, you don't have the former, so I wouldn't bother.

But anyway, what's exactly your issue?  Do you want to tell everyone your likes?  Or do you just feel bad?

So I'm guessing you're trying to "blend in" with your group of friends, or are you trying to "blend in" with everyone's opinion in general?

RE: Is anime for asains?
just be urself. who cares what other people think?  i have friends who think I'm a little weird for watching what they call "cartoons"
but it doesn't really matter what they think.. i think maybe ur a little too sensetive to what other people may think about u
and does it really matter what colour/age/sex etc u are?

yeah exactly, and i feel bad in doing so

that's why im questioning this "everyones opinion" and what im doing is really the best thing

but its not like i hang out with ONLY white people, that; i don't worry about much

i hang out with a variety of people, and many are asain themselves :P but they assume me to be a stupid white guy who hates or doesn't know anything about anime

As nicodemus82, probably try to be yourself.
There's a little bit of an age factor as well.

From what I can tell, you're a bit of an uncertain type person - ie you want to blend in and be a part of the crowd (because you have the sense that you aren't "normal"), rather than be some sort of leader figure.
I would personally have two suggestions:

1) act yourself - why would others care so much about your likes?  Will they really think you're dumb, stupid or weird?  If you have established relationships, chances are people will understand.  If you're uncertain, do you think they're not?  The first step to breaking a stereotypical ideology is to break your own ideas about the issue.  Remember that stereotypes don't always have good founding reasons.  If someone says that white people shouldn't watch anime, question them why.
If some people simply won't accept your liking something, they're probably not cut out to be friends anyway.
This is the preferred, and dominant strategy.

2) continue hiding it - you make yourself feel bad, and this may cause you to feel more distant in the future.  However, if you only really have weak relationships with everyone, this may be your only choice.  This will typically have future ramifications though (okay, I'm going too far, but meh).
