All quote boxes appear white. Not sure if its a problem or not though.

The upgrader probably didn't upgrade the CSS of any MyBB 1.2 themes, so it probably falls back to the white background quote boxes.

oh I see, that explains it. I suppose the only reason it would be annoying would be, like in squees case he has a Black b/g theme (like my blog) and the resulting quoting text is pretty much unreadable.

EDIT: On another note, is upgrade CSS the reason [*size=7] isn't gigantic anymore?

That'll get fixed when the dark themes get removed.  Which I'll get to when I get a bit more time later on.
The size is possibly MyBB changing the parser somewhere...  Though I think you can use sizes larger than 7 if I recall right.
