------------------------------

After a couple days of work I an updated release of tgaWave CS.
I have done 10 versions of this program, several did not work.
The version that I consider "classic" is the .5 release, though
.8 is the release that changed everything. Now at the 1.00 rele-
ase we have fixed a lot of the bugs, and I have learnt a lot in
the process of creating this hack. I have learned not only to
not quit a project because of something dumb, but to continue it
until it is finished. Thanks to all the support from QJ members
for I would not have returned without you. Thanks to all that
helped me find and make applications to make this program poss-
ible. And finally, a huge shout out to nicinico, who has worked
behind the scenes fixing minor mistakes that I have made along
the way. Without nicinico, I could not make 1.00 a reality.
Enough of my monolog, and more of the program. Enjoy the 1.00
point release, and let your PSP customization fly free with the
waves!

Here is an example of a tga.(flames.tga by Z33)

And the wave once converted:

Here is whot todo!:

  • Downlaod the TgaWave Creative Studio v1 >>> HERE
    or TGAwave v0.7 >>>HERE
I find that 0.7 makes better waves move faster and are more compact,..
TgaWave Creative Studio v1 also makes matching boot waves,.!

  • Inside the download is a "folder/rar file" called templates.
  • Use the psd template for photoshop.
  • you should see these layer's and its pretty clear in what layer you can draw,.. ;P
    [Image: f_layersTemplm_4db57a1.jpg]
    (I tried the sonic logo)
  • Make sure all layer's are visible and goto "Image">>>> "Mode" >>>> "Idexed colors"
  • Click yes for merging layers, and set all settings as shown in the picture below.
  • Now you can save the picture as a .tga into the "TGAwave" folder
  • Double click "start.bat" and you will be asked to type in the name of your .tga picture.(full name with.tga!)
  • If the tool says you have to make the tga smaller then lower the color count in
    the indexed color option in photoshop.(eg 32 >> 20)

    Ready!!

Flash the  created "system_plugin_bg.rco" to flash0:\vsh\resource

    This was my first try:

    And some time later:
With 250 color count,.!?!? double you tee eff!! its because there is alot of black in the tga,..

    I made this tga:

    My final completed wave:
So after 2 hours of trying to make the best out
of making a wave with a logo i got this.
If the logo is to far to the right or left or
you want to scale your wave, power-up
Zinga's rcoeditor 1.15c and go into the page
date of the system_plugin_bg.rco and you can
change position and stretch value's of the wave
    by editing "default_theme_model".

    Happy wave making!!

  • Make loads of $$!! it wurks!!
