School uses PSP in lessons
Holyhead Secondary in Handsworth, Birmingham, is going to give its pupils PSPs to use during French, History and Geography. They will be used to play media such as video and pictures.
The students are not allowed to play games on them, but there is now way to check this so i guess they will be having a lot of fun. The experiment will start after easter. The teachers have had training to use the PSP, so that may explain some of the noobs lately that spoke perfect english.
I don't really understand the use of a psp, when a classroom also has a beamer, ohp and some sort of cd player. Also, they should have computers available for accessing the internet, and the internet on the PSP isn't all that great either. One teacher says:
"Some people think it is an exclusively a gaming machine and don't realise all the things it can do. It can access the Internet and process information."
wooo, it can access the internet and process information. its very clear that you have had training. what kind of information do you want it to process without using homebrew? I bet if the school and teachers knew about homebrew and put it to use to create some sort of educational software, the psp would be much more useful. They would be sued by sony though.
Oh well. Lets just hope wee meet one of these pupils and convince them to flash hehehehe :P
