The original GW is one of the least grindy MMOs out there.  Assuming GW2 followed the style of it's predecessor, then it'll probably be one of the most casual friendly MMOs.  Supposedly some dude managed to get to the max level in the head start period before the game even officially began, which further proves that.

Don't know about the fiancee bit (no experience in that area), but if you manage your time efficiently, you have plenty of time whilst at uni lol.  Not that I'm saying spending all of it on an MMO is a good idea, better to take up a part time job or something probably.
