Interesting, though I think the settings icon/image is a little confusing.  IMO use the icon, not a screenshot?
I personally would suggest not trying to mimick the status bar too much - keep the information that the PSP gives, but adding stuff like a fake signal strength seems to be unnecessary complexity for the sake of design...

Thanks for the effort though - love the concept :)
