Well, if it was cheap, I could see people buying it.
If wee assume that 99 Euros translates to $99 in other places (since Europeans seem to always get ripped off), it's still a bit too much; I can get a PSP-3000 for AU$120 at times, and the Go may be obtainable for AU$100.

Speaker: well, speaker sound quality was never good anyway, so making it mono probably isn't much of an issue IMO.
Wifi: if there aren't many hotspots (like over here), and you don't have a bunch of friends with PSPs, then the loss of it isn't that big of a deal IMO, but yeah, probably the biggest weakness of this thing.

Nintendo DSi still selling for quite a bit, so I can see a market in very cheap gaming devices - so long as there are cheap games to go with it.  Although this is a bit against Sony's brand image...
