well, it did work but it raised few more issues...

placing the xmenu inside a plane does work, but since xmenu itself does not contain anything aside the basic menu structure of the xmb, it will majorly mess up a lot of other objects such as icon and folder, and menu item placements...

as for now I'll just stick on moving the xmb around from the layout_grid_1080 (this file is basically the HD1080p videomode's equivalent of psp's paf.prx)

now I'll need some sleep and tomorrow I'll do some more testing once I've unbricked the console again (lol)
