there are animations which are similar to psp's ...

anyway, im not really sure how things work yet...
I've been toying around with adding elements with no success so far, for example, the icon bar which i added for the main categories would refuse to ever show up until i just added a plane into the xmenu directly, which brings up a slight visibility issues, such as you see in my video.
The bar stays on top of pictures in picture browser and things like that..

I'll hunt down the rotate animation of the loading icons soon and try if i can copy it to the battery indicator :P

You should try put in some animation's! did you see any in rco's?? animtree's?? for infobars or infobar fadeout's?? there should be some you could easily tweak??

On the PSP some icons don't show until i put a dummy file after them,.. you could try to just add a dummy file instead of a bar,.. or find a rco where to put the bar which will be disabled when viewing picture's,.. eg the rco where the clock is,..  

if you know whot the btnbar is you can make it animate :) this animation first sets the alpha to 0 with duration 0,. you could do something simular like make a different start position,..
