i wouldnt suggest ME due to its unknown level of safety, i myself would go 620pro or 620tn. with pro u cn have it permanent, so its very similar (in terms of useage) to gen.

FOR 6.38 ME
Go PSP-HACKS and download OFW 638 and 638ME.

Put the UPDATE folder from 638me download into GAME
Now get a 638.PBP and put it in the UPDATE FOLDER aswell.
Now if ur on CFW, just run it.
If you get 'your firmware is at 9.99, there is no need to update' youl have to change your VERSION.TXT (google it, plenty of tuts)
