It's supposed to be made by Team HGG, the makers of the english patch for MHP2ndG. It's been working out great for me and so far, there has been constant updates. The latest version is 1.2 and almost all of the weapons are translated already (only the ranged weapons aren't). The dude in PSPISO.com updates that thread every new release of the patch.

I found Team HGG's patch way better than KenshinHH's. It's entirely up to your preference if you would try this patch out or stick with KenshinHH's. Hope I helped!

I read that kenshin 'borrowed' the translation from team hgg. but im not sure.

If kenshin 'borrowed' the translation why did it come out like MONTHS before team HGG's?

Also I don't remember ANY of the previous MH english patches EVER translating npc convo's

So I doubt they translated them.
