Mathematical correctness about pixel dimensions
Perhaps someone has said something like this before:
"this picture is 1920 pixels high and 1080 pixels wide"

What's wrong about the statement?

What if wee were to try to find the number of pixels in that picture?
1920 pixels × 1080 pixels = 2,073,600 pixels2

double you tee eff is a pixel2?

Like, pixels are already square units.  Just like a unit such as cm2.
1 dimensional measurements (width and height), thus, should be measured with 1 dimensional units, not 2D ones such as pixels.

Therefore, it really should be said:
"this picture is 1920 √pixels high and 1080 √pixels wide"
to be accurate.

"1920x1080 pixels" is also acceptable
