NowGamer also contacted Sony Ericsson for a comment. A spokesperson responded, "Sony Ericsson does not comment on rumour or speculation".

The suspect images have come under criticism from a number of news sites. A closer look at the top screen in particular reveals a number of telltale signs, such as a large amount of dirt collecting around the screen, as well as mention of 'A' and 'B' buttons on the interface.
