After you go through like 10 rooms that look exactly the same, you end up with another chain of 10 rooms, that look exactly the same.  :\

Halo 2 was much better in that respect and you don't get repetitive as hell room design.  Actually, Halo 2 was better in pretty much everything.  Haven't played 3 and above.
