RE: [AU] ADSL2+ 500GB plan for $60/mo, includes line rental
So if the NBN goes through, it's up to 1Gbps anyway...
Seems like some ISPs are now rolling out 1TB/mo ADSL2+ plans.
If you do the math on a standard 12Mbps constant speed, that's about equivalent to saturating your connection for about 6 hours a day to exhaust the quota.
IMO even heavy downloaders won't exhaust 1TB/mo, probably only the craziest will ever need to use up that much.
Though for all practical purposes, probably 500GB since most of the rest is off peak. Still, unlikely to exhaust 500GB/mo for most people.
iiNet: 500+500GB/mo $100/mo
iPrimus: 511+600GB/mo 24mo contract $100/mo
TPG: 500+500GB/mo 6/18mo contract $70/mo
With 1TB HDDs around $80 each, if you saved everything you downloaded, on the TPG plan, you would essentially be paying more for a HDD than the bandwidth...
Damn some people are lucky.
