I don't have a netbook. I'm in the market for a portable device. Right now - a netbook makes more sense to me so I'm waiting out for Ion2 to roll out properly and I'll probably go for it since it has much more to offer for less money. Like you said though, it's meant to compliment so I guess its like an extra filling in a sandwich.. when you've got everything else you may as well just consider an iPad.

I'm more a power user [by nature] anyway.. so naturally the iPad seems like a waste of money.

I can see my mum and my sister loving the iPad. My dad would prefer a machine with Windows though.

I'm not gonna let it slide - the iPad is pricey for what it is and it's amazing that Apple presented the price as a "Wow" factor for its "magical and revolutionary" device. Give me an iPad and I'll probably be happy with it.. hah.

As for Lock/Sleep - TOO MUCH work. A lid is most appropriate for us simple peoples. Hah.
