You can tell through my age, but yes i am in highschool (graduating this year) and before you comment on how it is easy; my physics teacher is one who teaches 1st level university physics. His tests include things that are not on provincial level (which is what it's name implies, province wide exams) and he goes above and beyond. He's an AWESOME teacher, but that can make your mark low at times, which basically bars you from getting into a university because your average joe just worked enough to the provincial level; whilst you learned more, you did worse as far as universities are concerned ;_; .

Good way I guess would just be to keep up with all the stuff, and do enough questions to make sure you clearly understand everything.

Don't do nothing all semester and cram stuff last minute, that's not good.  (Unless you're in yr7 or something, then that's THE way to go.  Best score in test just from 5hrs of effort the day before = best feeling ever, better than going high).

Thanks assassinator, best thing i could hear is someone strengthening my belief that what I'm trying to do now is right.

by the way, lol.

If you mean hardcore studying till 3am every day... You really don't need to be studying that hard... Unless you want that top 20 score in the country to get paid scholarship to study at Harvard/Oxford or something (in that case you shouldn't be here on the internet at all, unless you're searching up more maths questions to do).

I guess you can say I'm hardcore, while i do try to go on the internet as much as i can (which, by my posts, you can tell I'm not a frequent poster); i am studying to get to a very high level. Bear in mind, i only started doing so only a year before; things can really change a person and imo, i can only say i changed a lot.

Well, tests later on in school life (later year high school and uni) are meant to differentiate the best from the crowd, so ofcourse they're not going to be easy.  If everyone gets 90+, then the person who wrote the test failed.

(Tests earlier on in school life are to make everyone feel good... seriously, that's what they feel like to me).

I've heard that from others before, but the suggestion that "you aren't good enough" breaks my heart and makes me go into a study rage (basically i work till i drop dead). You can basically guess at why i study so hard.

I tend to do like 30 minutes of revising, play 5 minutes of games (usually fighting games where you get to randomly button mash and bash up random things) and then repeat.  I can't go into the night - I stick to normal day hours.
I also don't believe in solid reading, rather, trying to do sample problems.  If they provide a lot, do some to get an idea of what you need to read up on.  If they don't, you're probably stuck on trying to memorize the notes (yeah, difficult).
But always make sure you do problems if they give out any, including sample exams.  Something may seem trivial when you read about it, but applying it can be different, and this is what you're usually being tested on.

I did do all the problems...he took problems out of a brief explanation when he was doing the notes ;_; (which is basically, he DID mention and do such a problem, but wee NEVER saw it again until the test a month later). Anyway, thanks zinga; I'm going to try doing that now, thanks for the suggestion :)

Also, thanks to everyone who commented! i wish i could comment to all your posts; but i simply can't do so atm, but it's been a really big help! You guys are my only social link in life now and as such, you keep me from reaching insanity :) ( inb4 OH LOL HE'S A LONER).

Hey zinga, can i have my own blog? I think i can write some pretty awesome emo posts once in awhile :P (i joke)

I guess this thread helps others as much as it helps me xD; so it's useful...somewhat.
