I know how you feel.  I live in North Carolina, and it freaking sucks down here(I'm originally from Long Island, NY).  I've lived in NC for 11 years and I've increasingly grown to hate this place.  There's nothing but hicks and rednecks down here.  Everybody knows your business!  Also, they ask you a bunch of stupid personal questions like, "Why don't you live with your parents?"  "Where's your mother and father anyways?"  "Is that really YOUR sister?"  Oh!  Not to mention that everybody here likes to gossip and spread rumors like crazy.  Also if something embarrassing happened, let's just say... Um... FIVE FREAKING YEARS AGO, they never let it die.  That's why I don't talk to anybody where I live or leave the house.  I haven't left my house since 2008.  I just can't stand the people here.  People like to act like they are friendly here, but once they find out enough about you, they turn on you and tell your business... to EVERYONE.  I have no friends in NC because you can't trust people nowadays... Not to mention they use you like crazy.  Ask for money and stuff and never pay you back, or you help them out numerous time, but if you ask for one freaking favor it's "Oh!  Um... I have something to that day" or "I don't feel like it!"  double you tee eff?  Really?  You don't feel like it after everything I did for you?  That's why I say don't help anyone.
