Ever heard of ordered chapters?  You most likely have.  Use that to do the repetitions.  What you most likely have not heard of is that MKV can also do multiple editions, which in simplified terms is like multiple sets of timelines, that you can choose between.  Combine ordered chapters and multiple editions, and you can work it just fine.
