A build like that is just begging to be overclocked. Personally I wouldn't have the patience to let the thermal goo set first, especially if, like you, I was planning on replacing the HSF soon.

Also nice bodge job with fixing the CPU socket. Remids me of a friend's laptop. The plastic clips that hold the battery in have snapped off. So he wedged a little bit of paper between the battery and the wall of the compartment that holds it in nicely.
