actually, it's possible to have vobsub in MP4 even it's not standard.
my point is, UMDs have .mps files, i cannot demux all streams from them, if a 1seg tuner records, i don't think PSP would create pmf or mps files (as they're not supported in MS part of XMB video player) it would create AVIs or MP4s which are really easy to examine.

i have created videos with one video/audio stream and many sub streams with UMD tools, but it produces MPS/PMF files.

god, probably just learning the language is much easier than this :p
I'm going to give up, but seeing that greyed out "Subtitle Options" button kills me...
in UMD video control panel, there are "Menu", "Angle Options", "UMD Volume" buttons. they don't exist in MS video control panel. everything is clear here, i know that i won't be able to use them in MS videos (and volume button does a simple job, not dependent on the movie)
but there's a "Subtitle Options" button in both UMD and MS control panel! so i assume it's used in both...
