Japanese Capsule Hotels
Okay, perhaps not really news, but I'll put it here anyway.
Thanks to the wonderful Japanese economy, many people are obviously finding it tough and have to make various alternative arrangements. It just so happens that housing is perhaps one of the most expensive item in many budgets, so I guess it means one who's facing it tough will get to live in one of these:
Thing costs 59,000 yen/month (around US$640) but there's no deposit and various things are provided free.
I'd personally perhaps try to look for one of those backpacker type places which shove a bunch of bunks in a room though, unless they happen to be significantly more expensive.
