I'm just a little bit confused as to how you are able to emulate the instinct you have towards humans.
I can understand that humans are beyond perfect but disliking them would inevitably lead to cannibalism...

no, it's not that i don't trust human, I'm xenophobic, if that explain anything. i trust who i think i can.
for the hating human part, i'd rather look at it in a  novelistic way. like how you walk down the street, see a homeless woman beg for food fell over with no one helping. i grew my hatred like that

no, I'm no where near perfect. and i don't think low of others either. most people think I'm rather nice. i put up a good Mr.Nice Guy face in real life.
