Assassinator Wrote:Ok... I'm getting a really weird error with this...
What happens...
1. Go into sleep mode (power off without holding down the switch)
2. Come back from sleep mode
3. Stick my USB cable in
4. It will automatically try establishing a connection with the computer, but will screw up.
5. The words "Please wait..." will be frozen on screen.
6. If I attempt to launch a game or play a video, the whole thing will freeze up, forcing a restart (holding the power button). I think playing music works though.
Screenshots...
Spoiler:
Before sticking the USB cable in
The error I get after sticking it in
Exiting from the error screen, notice how the words "Please wait..." stay
The words stay even after moving off to something different
Other (possibly necessary) information...
PSP model... PSP1002
Plugins...
EDIT: happens even when I disable all the plugins.
Happens both in GEN-D and D2. Never tried A, B and C.
Has anyone had that before and know how to fix it? Otherwise I'm just going to rage and go back to M33.
Just tried to duplicate the error, and couldn't. I am also on 5.50 GEN-D2.
If you are still getting the error even with all plugins disabled, I would try using ID Storage Manager. Because if your ID Storage gets messed up, you will definitely notice some odd side effects.
Ok, I just ran Chilly Willy's key Cleaner, and according to that, my keys should be good.
Nothing wrong. I tried patching key 5, and that didn't fix the problem, so I restored it back to original afterwards
Also tried generating a completely new set of IDStorage keys using the pandora, that didn't fix the problem either. (And restored my original nand backup).
And I never used any of the old upgrade/downgraders (which according to my research, is how most people end up with a damaged IDstorage), and M33 works flawlessly (if my IDStorage was really bad, that should also screw up), so I'm 99.99% confident that my IDStorage isn't the fault here.
So... I say it's some bug in GEN, or that GEN is simply incompatible with my PSP (unlikely)...
Meh, I guess I'll take the other option I mentioned, rage and Hellcat my donkey back to 5.00M33, unless other people have ideas as to what's wrong.
Thanks anyway though, for the help.
EDIT: Maybe I should try GEN A and B2 to see if it's a new problem with GEN D or it's always there?
You try formatting flash1 at all? Who knows, that might work
