RE: The DOS games thread
My dad made games in the 80's, so when my sister and I were growing up there were tons of them around. I was only like 3 (1991) when I can remember a game that I played that had two gorillas, each would throw exploding bananas across a city at each-other. It was just one of those games where you had to aim the angle and set the power, but my sister and I played against each-other in that all the time. I even remember my dad would have to reboot the computer into DOS because it would crash if it was started in Windows (3.0 and 3.1, it worked after a patch for 3.1 though).
As for more detailed games, I used to play Doom, Doom II, and a game called Terminal Velocity all of the time. Then after those I started playing X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter, The Journeyman Project trilogy, and Turok. Eventually I got into Blade Runner and MechWarrior 1, 2, and 3 before I finally got my first computer, and the amount games I have played since then is too big to list. Those are just the PC games I definitely remember, I can guarantee that there are many more games that I played around then though, not too mention all of the console games I used to play.
I'm not disappointed in you, I'm disappointed in myself, for believing in you.
Did you park in a handicap spot? - No, I parked in two, I don't want any cripples scratching my car!
