there's your problem lol. one blob of solder completes the circuit bridging all the contacts. taking the analog out of the circuit completely. the analog is programmed to go down and to the right(?, could be left... been a while since i broke mine) when the resistance is 0. seeing as the analog has been taken out of the circuit altogether, the resistance will be 0, making it move. you have to solder each of the 4 analog points to the correct places which are easy to determine lol
make sure none of the 4 blobs of solder touch, and it should work
