after starting the game press L + R and triangle which will take u back to the main menu but will keep ur game running. then go into the settings menu and try changing the cpu, device etc

by the way, I couldn't get sound working either, but doesn't bother me since I don't usually play with the sound on ( games seem to run better without it)

Well I guess sound doesn't matter if I charge up my iPod's battery (if I ever do) or just use my imagnation. I also tried the Nokia e71 because it's the only one the seems to load properly while the others just crash and return you to the main PSPkvm menu. And I found less lag when trying the XBOX Demo device with 333mhz, I'll try the settings you suggested. Thanks.
