Basically, it is a side scroller like Mario and the like. And, similar to some other games, you change your environment, everting, to solve puzzles. As you evert the environment further, you make everything creepier and more demonic.  If you collect every gem in the game, and then evert when it shows you your total number of gems in level 7, you get to a secret level 8. If you beat it, you get to see the alternate ending.

Seriously, try this game.  Starts out as appearing ridiculously cute... but that all changes.
