lol that's not it.. i don't think the MS itself is the problem.... unless its fake
have you had the MP3 files for a really long time stored on your pc...? (if so get them or make them again.. files may be corrupt)
i havce mp3 that do that on my psp AND ps3... maybe its the sony OS (?)
i have quite a few music files that play fine on my pc... put them on my ps3 and psp and that show up.. go to play them and both gives a files corrupt message.. i don't think its the MS or the HDD im ps3 (does it with both an external drive and the internal)... so try playing it on a bunch of different devices and see what happens.... if it keeps on then do like i said and obtain the files again somehow...
never occured to me till just now but could try decompressing and recompressing the mp3 (changing id3's for me didnt work) it will most likely affect how to audio sounds though... like this mp3»wav»mp3... on headphones you may not hear a differnce unless the are really nice phones
well, a non-fake MS would go bad too if you treat it wrong, ( i have my Sandisk 4gb, high speed on the ground and it become humid at night, after a few night , it started to corrupts files and a while after that, the PSP start to tell me to format the MS) so yea, try download and copy new music files in , and if they still saying its corrupted after a few time playing then the MS is the problem. if not then yea, your music file is the problem.
this is most likely not gonna happen but check your Adapter/USB cable, there's a tiny chance for em
and no, i don't think the firmware have anything to do with corrupting music file
and I've had some mp3 can't play on the PSP but go well on the PC. so yea...
oh , and about the file fix itself, it's because the file only corrupted at a certain point, if you reboot then it gonna read the file from the start, then corrupt at that point ( there's some exceptional case )
