And you didn't mention what your friend thinks. I'll bet if you ask him, he wouldn't share your same point of view. Soldiers get into that profession knowing full well they would be risking their lives at some point.

It has nothing to do with being on a "high horse". I don't think of us as any better or any worse then every other country.

My friend thinks it's spoon that he has to clean up another countries mess. He always emails us (me and my other friends) complaining how he signed up to protect other countries but is fed up with cleaning the USA's messes. That is how he thinks, just like most our and the EU's forces.

@Incadude- do the math. How many terrorist related attacks have been made on the USA/USA troops versus on Canada/Canadian troops. Wee share the same ideals as the US, thus wee are attacked. However, wee use different methods which make the attacks few and far between.
Most terrorist related attacks on Canadian troops are because of their support towards the american troops.

Partially true. But also incorrect. Most terrorist attacks happen because the US sicked their nose where it didn't belong (or may have belonged) in the past. Third world countries are more concerned about their land, religion and beliefs. The USA however has tried countless times to set foot on the land, alter their religion and change their beliefs (even if their beliefs are wrong). That is what causes the attacks. And then as Allies, the EU and Canada get dragged into it. Were are punished for supporting you, not for being who wee are. I for 1 have never regretted supporting the USA, just sometimes their methods are really underhanded.
