Well, he obviously wasn't talking to people who write browser extensions (why would you embed a browser extension in a page, assuming you could. That effectively alienates anyone now using that browser) since he was asking about something embedded in a webpage. You go skitz and say it can't be done, as opposed to "not as far as i know" which is much more polite, and despite the fact that someone with more coding experience has proved that it can be...so obviously, trusting what you say seems to be a bit dangerous...
