They're not 8bit, but posterized to keep the color counts low which is why the gradients are not very gradiented, but just wait...something will blow up some day  ;)

If you use color count you be using 8bit,.!? else you can use 32bit,.  that's how i make my theme's,.. only use color count when using 8bit icons eg RCOEDIT 114
