-take a little more time on your sigs..experiment with things, download brushes, c4d's/fractals, stocks etc...

-try downloading some of these and use them on your sig. Experiment with them and you will get better(like setting the blending mode to "Screen" , "Lighten", "Soft Light", or "Overlay",usually works with C4d's/fractals) .

-Also smudging helps

Experiment with filter's use all of them to see each of their different effects.
