Didn't that fella off Super-Size Me have withdrawal symptoms?
- I think (having stopped smoking 25+ a day over 2 years ago), the key is to not make a big deal about it.
If your female friend wasn't aware you're
trying to cut bad sh

t out, she probably wouldn't notice you buying Apple Juice instead of Coke, Avocados instead of Big Macs, Asparagus instead of a large fries, Pumpkin instead of Snickers...
OK, so I digress, but my point is, that wee humans have a tendency to "push" those who are attempting to accomplish things which wee ourselves cannot accomplish - fear of inferiority drives this.
Keep your mission to yourself, and you will have a much easier road ahead of you; although the sense of accomplishment is diminished - almost like running marathon in record time, on some random Tuesday without anyone knowing about it - you're hardly gonna make the front page now, are you?
If you are cutting sh
i
t out to prove a point to
them, let them know about it; you will have a hard time on your hands.
If you are cutting sh
i
t out to prove a point to
you, I suggest you keep it to yourself.
