Anyone else seen this movie? I seriously think it's one of the best horror movies I've ever seen, despite the fact that it's in Spanish. For those of you that haven't seen it, think Resident Evil (viral outbreak, zombies) plus Cloverfield (camera held by one of the characters, "record this for everyone else to see" vibe). It's about an obnoxious young reporter and her cameraman that are doing a report on firemen late at night. They tag along on a call where apparently an old woman is trapped in her apartment. Turns out, she's a zombie, bites one of the policemen, and gets the ball rolling for this freaky-donkey movie.
The first time I saw this, it was Youtube quality, with no subtitles, in the middle of the day. I was not impressed. The second time I saw it, though, I saw it in High Def with expertly done subtitles, and at 11:30 at night. I swear, I almost shat a brick. There's one scene where the cameraman, Pablo, holds the camera up and moves it around so he can see into the entrance to an attic. He slowly rotates the camera around, viewing all around. Just when you think there couldn't possibly be anything there and he's almost done making a full sweep, a zombie that was hiding in the attic leaps at the camera. Seriously, it makes your heart skip a beat.
Anyway, for those who haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. It's in Spanish, so you'll have to find a copy with subtitles. But the searching is well worth it.
Here are some clips and trailers from it. Yes, they're in Spanish, deal with it. Source: YouTube
